History file for SuperPass:
* designates an un-released version.
*---------*--------------------------------------------------------------*
| Version | Additions |
*---------*--------------------------------------------------------------*
| *IH | In-House version. Started on January 5 1994 (right after I |
| | got my compiler!). VERY sloppy. Password hard-coded into |
| | program. No external files used yet. Offers made to a few |
| | friends for trial-versions of the software. Unofficially |
| | called version 1.0. No bugs. |

| 1.0 | First 'real' release of the program. No bugs. Basically |
| | the same as the IH version. Only released in the local |
| | area (New Kensington, PA) because of its limitations. |

| *1.1 | In-House model. First use of external file for passwords. |
| | ASCII file used for passwords. VERY easy to get passwords |
| | simply by looking at the file. |

| 1.2 | Second release of JDWPassword. This version had FULL |
| | support of binary passwords file, and included a config |
| | program to write the password file. VERY easy to set up. |
| | Discovered that any numbers in a password were encoded into |
| | unrecognizable binary and therefore were unreadable. |
| | First MAJOR release. No bugs encountered. Registration |
| | keyfile now required for registered users. Better dox. |

| *1.3a | Alpha-test in-house version. Code optimizations and keyfile |
| | auto-search implemented. Registration no longer requires a |
| | seperate version of the executable and a keyfile. |

| 1.3b | Release version of 1.3. No bugs encountered. Many code |
| | optimizations added. Hooks for invisible passwords entered |
| | into code. Improved look (slightly). History file made. |
| | JDWPassword finally got its own disk to use at my house. |
| | Released on 01/21/94. |

| 1.3c | Release date 1/28/94. Fixed small bug in the file-encryption|
| | routines. Previous bug did not cause any functionality |
| | problems, and was not harmful to your Amiga! |
| | New version of config_jdwpassword included to aid in the |
| | encryption process. |
*---------*--------------------------------------------------------------*
*1.4 In-house release only. Optimizations, improved look.
Reworked the keyfile and the password file a bit. Never
seen by human eyes other than my own.
*1.5 In-house release only. Optimizations, planned hooks
implemented. Noticed a few minor typo's in the comments
in the code, nothing major. Also noticed that I was not
updating the version number correctly! :)
2.0 After much dust-collecting by the JDWPassword disk, the
name was changed, the code was re-written, a NEW DISK was
formatted for SuperPass, and new versions of all the
support information were created. New docs, invisible
password entering (thanks to _kid on #amiga on IRC), and
some much-needed external improvements to the program.
All versions AFTER 1.5 are named SuperPass. Version number-
ing was maintained in order to keep people un-confused. :)
2.0b This version was a quick bug-fix. Nothing major...
2.1 This version was an updated bug-fix version to 2.0b. A bug was
found in both the installer script and in the program itself.
Fixed the problem with the specified filename being just
overwritten on top of "s:jdw.passwords", leaving the leftover
characters on the end. Simply added a NULL at the end of the
argument-reading routine to the string.
Thank you for choosing to use SuperPass!
